Before / After Gallery
A few examples of FLUX photo restoration work.
An old family photo of my dad and his brother, taken about 1930.
Original photo shows blown highlights, poor contrast, grain and white spots. The Reconstruction did not include these defects, and instead applied a natural color consistant with the period.
An old photocard of Geronimo showing blown highlights.
I removed a piece of tape on the headdress using photoshop and I used that image as input to FLUX.2. The after image shows a plausible and very much alive Geronimo, even with an old rusty gun. We don't know the color of his outfit, but we can change that in prompting if we choose.
Typical family photo.
This image suffers from lack of sharpness and massive grain throughout. Typical of old prints found in many family albums. The reconstruction adds color, sharpness and may slightly alter the expressions. Running a number of renders allows you to select the image that most closely aligns with the original.
Family photo.
This image also suffers from lack of sharpness, blown highlights and massive grain. FLUX gives this image back an emotional connection that is lost in the original black and white photo.
